Sheila Bristow
Registered Psychotherapist

Picture
Sheila Bristow is a psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, with a primary focus on managing stress.

Shifting gears after 15 years in the Corporate Financial world, Sheila is a Spiritual Psychotherapist, Meditation Coach and Stress Management Specialist. Each of these modalities encouraging and acknowledging that  when we listen to our bodies speak, our truth lies within.

With the knowledge that stress has now been labeled as our society’s number one cause of dis-ease, Sheila includes Stress Management as a primary tool for change and individual empowerment.

Sheila offers years of meditation experience as she has completed Meditation Instructor training under the Master teaching of Luangphor Viriyang Sirintharo of Thailand through the Willpower Institute and has participated in the daring opportunity of a 10-day silent meditation retreat.

Sheila's primary focus is now working with clients in facilitating positive change, by altering thought patterns, changing non-beneficial belief systems and reducing the impact of stress in our lives.

Sheila is currently a faculty member at Toronto’s Transformational Art College.
Sheila was the founder of Quantum Minds in Richmond Hill, where she maintained a successful private practice for seven years.

Sheila now lives in Collingwood, where she was born and raised.
 Volunteer assignments have included:
  • VCARS – Victim Services of Simcoe County
  • Eating Disorders of York Region, where she facilitated a weekly support group.
  • Fibromyalgia Support Group in Richmond Hill
  • Board of Directors for the Centre of Conscious Living in Toronto.
  • York Region Women’s Sexual Assault Help Line as a Crisis Line Counsellor.
