Sarah Breedon
Registered Psychotherapist

Sarah (she/her) is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) who graduated with her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. Sarah is accepting clients virtually through Bayside Wellness.
Sarah uses techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Sarah approaches counselling with a stance of acceptance, curiosity, and compassion. This stance emphasizes the client as the expert of their own experience allowing them to feel empowered, recognize their strengths, and explore their values. The role of the therapist is to support the client in this growth by actively listening to them, validating their experience, and developing a safe and authentic connection that allows the client to feel safe to explore new ways of being.
Sarah’s experience includes live-in treatment for addiction, outpatient counselling and case management in a hospital setting, and private practice. From this work Sarah has come to prioritize a trauma-informed approach and has learned how valuable a therapeutic relationship can be in healing from past relational traumas. Sarah is passionate about destigmatizing addiction, exploring family and relational dynamics, and working with individuals in life transitions.
Additional academic credentials include an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Biology and Psychology from University of Toronto and an Addictions and Mental Health (ADMH) postgraduate certificate from Humber College.
