Microneedling

BOOK NOW

What is Microneedling?

This is an advanced, trained skill delivered by a certified professional.  It involves the delivery of precise micro needle injuries to the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing process.

Why should I have Microneedling?
Microneedling enhances the skins integrity by stimulating and producing collagen and elastin - two components in the skin which help with structure, elasticity, and support. The result is a smoother, healthier, and brighter complexion.

Microneedling may help with issues like:
  • Acne
  • Hair loss (also called alopecia)
  • Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation)
  • Large pores
  • Reduced skin elasticity
  • Scars
  • Stretchmarks
  • Sun damage
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Is there downtime?
This is the beauty!  Very minimal downtime.
Skin may appear reddened/ sunburnt for a few days following, and might have a little swelling.  But makeup and sunscreen can be applied the day after treatment.  Staying out of direct sunlight for at least 48 hrs is recommended. And always use sunscreen.

Does Microneedling hurt?
A medical grade numbing cream is applied to the skins surface prior to treatment.  This helps with any discomfort.  Your clinician will also use your feedback to adjust the varied depth of the micro needling being delivered.  Tylenol/advil can be taken prior to and post procedure if there is any concern over discomfort or is felt post treatment.

What can Microneedling be paired with?
Red Light Therapy (included with every appointment)
Using LED light therapy after microneedling can be a beneficial addition to the post-treatment regimen. LED light therapy, particularly red and near-infrared wavelengths, can help enhance the results of microneedling by promoting healing and reducing inflammation.

Mesotherapy (booked as an add-on)
Combining Mesotherapy with Microneedling will help to achieve optimal results for your skin.  These are cutting edge sterilized formulations containing peptides, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, DMAE, organic silicon, natural extracts, vitamins, amino acids and other essential elements.  Targeting aging skin, hyperpigmentation, open pores, acne, scarring and hair loss.

How good are the results?
Results will vary.  The recommendation for optimal results is a series of treatments.  3 separate treatments spaced 5-6 weeks apart.  This is recommended to be repeated every 12-18 months.
