Lacey McVicar
Registered Physiotherapist
Lacey has been a physiotherapist for over 13 years. She holds a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Honours from the University of Western Ontario. She has completed post-graduate advanced training in Manual Therapy (Level 4, Orthopaedic Division, Canadian Physiotherapy Association); Acupuncture (Acupuncture Canada); APTEI (Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute) and fascial mobilization.
Lacey has a passion for helping people, while empowering them to contribute to their own healing. She takes the time to find the root of a person’s problem, and then together with them, creates a plan to address the immediate concern, as well as enhance daily living after rehabilitation and prevent recurrences.
Her clinical practice involves a combination of manual therapy, muscle/motor control retraining, use of modalities and specific exercise prescription. She is always eager to learn more, share more, and provide high quality service to clients, using evidence-based research and techniques.
Lacey was a competitive swimmer for ten years, and when not at the clinic she continues to enjoy swimming, as well as hiking and spending time with her family. She is passionate about health and wellness and is committed to an active and whole foods lifestyle.
