Dr. Halpenny grew up in Toronto, ON, where four years on her high school rowing team first introduced her to the benefits of chiropractic care. Through treatment, she experienced how chiropractic can help improve mobility, support recovery, and keep the body moving and functioning optimally. This early experience sparked her interest in the profession, eventually leading her to pursue a career in chiropractic.
She went on to complete an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating magna cum laude. She also earned additional certification in Functional Integrated Acupuncture as well as Animal Chiropractic. Her additional training allows her to help both people and animals move and feel their best.
Dr. Halpenny treats individuals of all ages and stages—athletes, seniors, infants, children, and adults—helping each patient move comfortably, recover from injuries, and maintain long-term wellness. She also has additional training in pregnancy and postpartum care and rehabilitation, helping patients navigate the unique physical changes of these stages with confidence and comfort.
Known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Halpenny focuses on improving function, preventing injuries, and supporting her patients’ long-term health goals. She creates individualized treatment plans using a variety of techniques, including soft-tissue release, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping, taping, acupuncture, laser therapy, shockwave therapy and manual adjustments.
In the fall of 2018, Dr. Halpenny moved to Collingwood, ON, drawn by her love of the bay and the outdoors. She enjoys all that Collingwood and Georgian Bay have to offer with her family and is excited to continue sharing her passion for accessible, patient-focused care with the community.
